  Young German soprano LENA GEIGER grew up in a musical family ad received from early childhood lessons at the piano and the oboe, as well as lessons in singing, in classical repertoire, Jazz & Musical.



  She first studied "School-music", before obtaining her Bachelor's & Master's Degree in VOICE at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg  (South Germany) in the class of Prof. Regina Kabis-Elsner.

 

  A scholarship by the Baden-Württemberg-Stiftung enabled the young artist to study 1. semester with Robyn Wells at the Conservatorio of Music in Sydney.

 

 Furthermore, she received artistically impluses in Masterclasses with KS Dorothea Röschmann, KS Christa Mayer, Christiane Libor, Hedwig Fassbender, and most of all with Camilla Nylund, who now is her personal mentor.

 

In the 2025/26 season, Lena Geiger overtakes on a short call the part of FIORDILIGI in Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte" at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and sings AGATHE in "Free Bulletts - or Webers Freischütz in 5 dimensions" at the Oper Köln , to which she will return in 26/27 as QUEEN ELISABETH of the SOUTH in Ph. M. Kaufmann's world-premiere "The King gives ssomethin away".

 

  Further guest-commitments brought Lena Geiger with her role-debut as ROSALINDE in J. Strauß'  operetta "Die Fledermaus"  under the baton of the Musical Director of Oper Bonn, Dirk Kaftan and in stage-direction by Dominik Wilgenbus to the Young Opera at Castle Weikersheim, the title-role of Donizetti's RITA to the Festival Konstanz, AGATHE in Weber's "Der Freischütz" to the Ettlingen Castle Festival and FEE in Pauline Viardot's "Cendrillon" in stage-direction by Alexander Schulin to the Theatre Freiburg;

And in productions of the conservatory, she also embodied FIORDILIGI in "Cosi fan tutte", SOUR GENOVIEFFA in Puccini's "Suor Angelica" and POLLY in Kurt Weill's "Die Dreigroschenoper"

 

At the Anneliese Rothenberger Singing Competition at Castle Mainau, Lena Geiger was awarded with the 3rd Prize and received a freelance-position in the WDR Radio-Choir in Cologne.

 

Next to commitments in operas, the soprano is a frequently asked guest for concerts.

Her repertoire, which she performed among others with the Junge Kantorei Freiburg, the Collegium Musicum Bischofszell, the Canto Stadtkantorei Freiburg or the Kammerchor Müllheim include among others Faure`s "Requiem",  Mendelssohn's "Elias", his "Wie der Hirsch schreit""Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten", and  "Lobgesang", Brahm's "Ein Deutsches Requiem", Enzo Caterino's "Stabat Mater", Rossini's "Petite Messe Sollennele",' Palmeri's "Misa Tango", Piazzola's "Ave Maria", Peteris Vasks' "Dona Nobis Pacem" or Ola Gjelo's "Sunrise Mass" 

 

In addition, Lena Geiger sings in Song-Recitals works such as Berg's "Sieben frühe Lieder"  at the Steingraeber-Piano-Manufactury; and Opera & Operetta-Galas like "A night at the opera", as well as concerts with Jazz-and Musicals-music, among others with the Obersteinach Musiziert, the Schloß Ettlingen, the Opernakademie Baden-Baden, in Merzhausen, the Musikverein Oerthalbach or the Junge Philharmonie Rottenburg, where she had the great pleasure to work together with her father,  Conductor Albert Geiger in the charity concert for the Tannbach'sChildren's-Cancer-Aftercare-Clinic.
